Kokumin Shukusha Muroto
The remains of a kokumin shukusha (a public lodge) in Muroto, Kochi, near the Muroto Skyline road that runs over Cape Muroto. It opened in the early 1970s, around the time the Skyline opened, and closed at the end of October 2005. It had a circular wing and an unusual layout in which guests entered the third-floor lobby from a rooftop parking lot. After it closed, Muroto City looked for a buyer, but none was found, and the building remains surrounded by trees. Please do not enter the grounds, and view it only from outside.
