Onuma No. 3 Power Station
The remains of a brick hydroelectric power station on the upper Shikabe River in Shikabe, Hokkaido. It was the third of the power stations that the Hakodate Suiden company built around Onuma; it began operating in 1919 and was decommissioned in 1965 together with the first and second stations. The building sits behind Hokkaido Electric Power's Shikabe substation, its roof has collapsed, and in summer it is buried in vegetation and almost hidden. It lies inside the fence of an active power facility, so please do not enter and view it only from outside.
