Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway (Chi-Ka-Ho)

A straight underground pedestrian space, about 520 meters long, linking JR Sapporo Station and Odori. It opened in March 2011. Open areas line both sides of a 12-meter-wide passage, and white columns and light falling from skylights repeat at even intervals as far as the eye can see. In the quiet early morning, all that is left is a wide corridor with no end in sight.
