Moerenuma Park

A park built on a former garbage landfill, following a master plan by the sculptor Isamu Noguchi that treats "the entire park as one sculpture." It had its grand opening in 2005. Artificial hills, a glass pyramid, straight rows of trees and broad lawns: only geometric forms, set out beneath a wide sky. At quiet hours it looks like a stage that someone prepared and then forgot.
