Jozankei Onsen Hotel Sankeien (Closed Ryokan)
The remains of a large ryokan (traditional inn) in the middle of the Jozankei Onsen hot spring town. Founded in 1965, it closed once in 2014 and then reopened under a different company, but it has been shut since February 2020. The Jozankei Hotel right next door has also been closed since 2021, so large buildings with dark windows stand side by side in the middle of a resort town full of passing tourists. These are private buildings, so please do not enter the grounds and view them only from the streets of the town.
