Teine Senjaku Ski Area

The remains of the Senjaku Ski Area on the slopes of Mt. Teine in Teine Ward, Sapporo. It opened around the time of the 1972 Sapporo Olympics and connected near the top of the mountain with the Shirakaba area of Teine Olympia. Left out of the lift upgrades of the 1990s, it has not operated since 1999. Lift towers, loading platforms, and a half-collapsed rest house still remain in the woods, and hikers pass by in both summer and winter. Please keep away from the crumbling buildings and view them only from the hiking trail.
