Glover Sky Road (Inclined Elevator)
An elevator that climbs diagonally up the slope of Minamiyamate in Nagasaki. It was built in 2002 as part of a city road, and anyone can ride it free of charge. A car with round windows rises quietly, looking down over the harbor and the houses on the hillside. Neither quite a road nor quite a ride, it is a curious passage found only in a city of slopes.
