Makimine Station Site, Former Takachiho Railway
The site of Makimine Station on the Takachiho Railway, which was cut off along its entire length by typhoon damage in 2005 and closed in 2008. The platform, waiting benches, and station sign remain as they were, though the tracks have been removed. The seats lined up on the green, overgrown platform quietly recall the everyday days when people sat here waiting for trains.
