Bunka Street
A former shopping street in central Miyazaki City, said to have grown out of a postwar black market. Step off the busy Tachibana-dori arcade into a side street and you find a scene where time seems to have stopped. The corrugated iron roofs are rusted and crumbling, and shuttered shops still bearing old signs such as "Onitsuka Shoten" line the lane, while a few shops scattered among them are still in business, giving it a strange atmosphere where ruin and everyday life exist side by side.
