MOA Museum of Art, Escalator Passage and Circular Hall
An art museum in Atami that opened in 1982. From the entrance to the main building at the top of the hill, visitors ride a series of eight escalators up a height difference of 48.5 m. The long escalator passage, where the color of the light keeps changing, and the underground dome about 20 m across partway up form a space where you move on and on through light without seeing where you are headed.
