Fugan Canal Kansui Park, Tenmon Bridge
An artificial waterfront park in Toyama, opened in 1997 on the site of an old canal boat basin. At each end of Tenmon Bridge, completed in 1999, stands an observation tower about 20 m tall, and the two towers are linked by a "red string telephone" made of fishing line. At night or early in the morning, when only the bridge lights are reflected on the deserted water, there is a stillness like a stage set up for someone and then forgotten.
