Liminal space · Fukuoka, Japan

Old Inunaki Tunnel

A tunnel on the old road that was closed after the New Inunaki Tunnel opened and took over its role. It became famous across Japan for urban legends and as a haunted spot, and it even became the subject of a film. Its heavy stone arch and a portal covered in countless layers of graffiti give it an uneasy atmosphere as it sits sealed off, quietly, deep in the mountains.
