Kashino Green Farm Ruins (Submerged Pension Village)

The remains of a leisure facility said to have been built around 1980 on former salt fields in Kashino, Ushimado, in Setouchi, Okayama. It reportedly had rows of A-frame pensions (small guesthouses) along with facilities for golf and tennis. After it closed, the drainage of this land, which lies below sea level, stopped, and the pensions and cars were left standing in the water. With only the triangular roofs lined up above the surface, the whole village looks as if it has sunk into time. It is private property, so please stay off the site and view it only from outside.
