Dome Plaza at Marugamemachi Ichibangai (Takamatsu Central Shopping District)
The Takamatsu central shopping district, where eight shopping streets connect and covered arcades continue for a total of about 2.7 km. At its heart, at the northern end of Marugamemachi, is a plaza beneath a glass dome 32.2 m high. Early in the morning or at night, when the shop shutters are down, empty streets stretch on and on under the bright roofs, and the plaza beneath the large dome only makes the emptiness more striking.
