Rooftop Amusement Park Skyland (Matsuzakaya Takatsuki)
A small amusement park on the roof of the Matsuzakaya Takatsuki department store, in front of JR Takatsuki Station. It opened together with the store in 1979 and is said to be the last surviving department store rooftop amusement park in the Kansai region. Most rides, such as the go-karts and a small train running on rails, cost 100 yen, and admission is free. The old rides, whose parts have become hard to find, are kept running through ongoing repairs. Rooftop amusement parks were once found on department stores all over Japan, but only a few remain today. Closed on rainy days.
