Rokko Island River Mall
A waterside promenade and a series of plazas running north to south through the center of Rokko Island, an artificial island. It was once lively with many shops, but at some times of day hardly anyone is around. Along the near-empty walkways and plazas, traces of its heyday sit side by side with stillness, and it has drawn attention as a liminal space with a strange, frozen-in-time atmosphere.
