Former Temiya Line (Otaru)
The remains of the Temiya Line, part of the first railway in Hokkaido, which opened in 1880; the line was closed in 1985. The tracks were left in place, and about 1.6 km of them in central Otaru have been turned into a walking path. Rails and level crossings where trains no longer run stretch straight on between the buildings.
