Site of Reversible Destiny – Yoro Park
An experiential artwork conceived by the artists Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins, opened in 1995. Across a bowl-shaped basin of land lie tilted walls, 148 winding paths and five models of the Japanese archipelago, and your sense of balance slowly drifts out of true. Walking the slopes and maze-like paths at a quiet hour feels like wandering into the landscape of a dream.
