Bond Street Station, Elizabeth Line Stairs
Bond Street station on the Elizabeth line opened in October 2022, five months after the line itself. Its tunnels, larger in cross-section than those of the older Underground, are lined almost seamlessly with curved cream-colored panels of glass-fiber reinforced concrete, and the lighting is mainly indirect, softly washing the walls. Because every station is finished with the same materials and the same light, standing in a curved passage or stairway, you can lose track of which station you are in.
