Trellick Tower
A 31-story council housing block in west London, designed by Ernő Goldfinger and completed in 1972. A slender elevator tower stands apart from the residential block, connected to it only by bridges every three floors. Since the elevators stop only at those floors, the corridors feel neither inside nor outside the housing. After a period of decline following its completion, management improved thanks to residents' efforts, and in 1998 it became a Grade II* listed building. People still live here, so please view it only from outside.
