Choi Hung Estate, Car Park Rooftop Basketball Court
One of the older public housing estates in Hong Kong, built between 1962 and 1964. The outer walls of its blocks are painted in bands of red, orange, yellow, green and blue. From the basketball court on the roof of the multi-story car park, a facade of windows shaped like the color bands rises straight ahead, and in photos the sense of depth seems to disappear. A phased redevelopment was decided in 2024, so this view will not last forever. Many people still live on the estate, so please do not get in the way of people using the court, and do not point your camera at homes or residents.
