Former Horoka Station, JNR Shihoro Line
The site of a station on the former JNR Shihoro Line, once busy with the forestry industry. Trains had stopped calling here nine years before the line was abolished, and by the time it closed the area was already almost uninhabited. The platform and tracks are still preserved, and the line, slowly disappearing into the grass, runs straight into the depths of the forest with a stillness as if only time had been left behind. In a place where human activity ended long ago, the rails alone remain, standing out strangely in the deep forest.
