Oya History Museum (Former Oya Stone Underground Quarry)
An underground space left after nearly 70 years of quarrying Oya stone, from 1919 to 1986. It covers about 20,000 square meters, reaches 60 m below ground at its deepest, and stays at around 8°C all year round. Huge walls and pillars of stone, cut in straight lines, stretch on endlessly in the dim lighting, as if you had wandered into a temple forgotten deep underground.
