Kula u Karaburmi (Toblerone)
A 17-story apartment building designed by the architect Rista Šekerinski and completed in 1963. The zigzag of triangular terraces jutting from its facade earned it the nickname "Toblerone." When it was finished there were no other tall buildings around it, and its shape drew both ridicule and debate. Even now the tower rises abruptly from the low houses around it, preserving a Yugoslav-era vision of the future just as it was. People still live here, so please view it quietly from outside and do not point your camera at homes or residents.
