Les Espaces d'Abraxas

A housing complex in Noisy-le-Grand, in the eastern suburbs of Paris, designed by Ricardo Bofill and completed around 1982. It consists of three buildings, the Palacio, the Théâtre and the Arc, with precast concrete shaped into the columns and arches of classical architecture. Classical forms far larger than human scale surround a plaza like a stage set, and it has been used as a filming location for Brazil and The Hunger Games. Many people still live here, so please take care not to photograph residents or their homes.
