O'Hare Terminal 1 Underground Walkway, "The Sky's the Limit"
An underground walkway at Chicago O'Hare's Terminal 1, linking United Airlines' Concourses B and C. It was completed in 1987 along with the terminal designed by Helmut Jahn, and along its ceiling runs Michael Hayden's neon artwork "The Sky's the Limit," about 227 m long. Its 466 neon tubes flow and shift color while an arrangement of "Rhapsody in Blue" plays softly. It is located inside the security checkpoint, so only passengers can walk through it.
