Cidade do Kilamba

A new city built by China's CITIC Construction on the outskirts of Luanda, the capital of Angola. The first phase was completed around 2011: about 750 apartment buildings of 5 to 13 stories, laid out in a grid with facades in different colors. Right after completion, prices were so high that almost nothing sold, and foreign media called it a "ghost town," but price cuts and mortgage support brought residents in from 2013 onward, and more than 100,000 people are now said to live there. The view of identical buildings repeating over and over is still unique. It is a residential area, so please be considerate of residents when taking photos.
