TWA Flight Center
A former terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, designed by Eero Saarinen and opened in 1962. It is known for its thin concrete shell roof, like outstretched wings, and an interior made entirely of curves, with red-carpeted tube-shaped passages that once led to the boarding gates. After closing in 2001, it reopened in 2019 as the lobby of the TWA Hotel. Walking through the curved white passages feels like being sealed inside a 1960s vision of the future.
