Sarajevo Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track, Trebević

A concrete track about 1,300 meters long with 13 curves, built on the slopes of Mount Trebević for the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. It continued to host World Cup events after the Games, but during the conflict of the 1990s it was used as an artillery position, and it was later abandoned. Today the U-shaped chute snakes down through the forest, its walls covered in graffiti. Some areas of the surrounding forest may still carry a risk of landmines, so do not leave the track and the maintained paths.
